Victoria Justice & Cody Simpson to Perform at This Year’s Dream Halloween Event
Victoria Justice and Cody Simpson will be performing at this year’s Dream Halloween events, but on different coasts. Victoria will perform at the Los Angeles event, while Cody will perform at the New York one.
Coming into its nineteenth year, Dream Halloween LA will take place on October 27 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. Coming into its eleventh year, Dream Halloween New York will take place on October 21 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, NY.
What is Dream Halloween you ask? It raises much-needed funds for Keep a Child Alive (KCA), which supports children and families affected by HIV/AIDS worldwide. Dream Halloween has raised $23.1 million for those in need since 1994.
Here’s a little more about what you can expect if you attend either event. It sounds fun!
Dream Halloween® is a trick-or-treater’s delight featuring celebrities, live musical performances, games, arts and crafts, food from local restaurants, and appearances by favorite childhood characters. Children get to walk down the legendary Trick-or-Treat Lane and fill their bags with fabulous toys and goodies. Both events will honor Joe Cristina, founder of Children Affected by AIDS Foundation (CAAF) and now a member of the KCA Board of Directors. Victoria Justice, an actress and singer best known for her roles on Nickelodeon’s VICTORIOUS and the upcoming Paramount Pictures film FUN SIZE, will perform at the Los Angeles event while Australian pop singer, Cody Simpson, will headline New York’s event. Special guest Carmelo the Science Fellow will also be on hand in New York to lead children in an exciting science lesson.

Victoria Justice Talks Unexpected “Victorious” End in Latina Magazine
Victoria Justice is the cover girl for Latina magazine’s October 2012 issue. She looks stunning with bangs, a look we’re not used to seeing on her!
In the magazine, Victoria talks about the unexpected cancellation of her Nickelodeon show “Victorious”, as well as her new lead role in “Fun Size”.
On the unexpected cancellation of her Emmy-nominated hit show, Victorious:
“The end of Victorious marked the end of my teenage years. I was 12 years old when I started on Nickelodeon, and I literally have spent all my teen years on the network. I will always be grateful to them, but I’m ready to move on.”
On taking on the lead in Fun Size and where she sees herself next:
“A lot of the stuff that was presented to me was fluff,” Justice says. “I was definitely ready [to be the lead of a film]. I’m an actress and I want to be an artist and I’m a songwriter. I want to take on projects that allow me to take my audience with me, but start [transitioning] into slightly more mature material.”

Victoria Justice Says She Wasn’t Expecting ‘Victorious’ Cancellation
Fans weren’t the only ones who were shocked when Nickelodeon announced ‘Victorious’ was being cancelled. The show’s star, Victoria Justice, was also surprised and didn’t expect it.
Here’s what she told Teen Vogue in a recent interview:
News broke recently that Nickelodeon is cancelling Victorious after season three. How did you react?
“When I first heard the news, I was a little bit shocked. I wasn’t expecting it, but I’m a big believer that everything happens for a reason. I’m excited for the possibilities. I’ve been on Nickelodeon since I was twelve years old—starting on Zooey 101, and then was given my own show when I was sixteen. I’m nineteen now, so I feel like the show had a really great run. I love the whole cast and crew, and it’s been an unforgettable journey. I’m a little bit older now and ready to mature with my career choices. Hopefully my fans will come along with me.”Victorious just received three Emmy nominations. It’s nice to go out on top.
“It’s very exciting! We’ll see what happens, but it doesn’t matter to me whether or not we win—just to be included is very nice.”
Victoria went on to talk about pursuing her music career, her new movie Fun Size and fall fashion. You can see the full interview here.
